Privacy Policy

How we protect your data with our Zero-Retention architecture.

Last Updated: March 2026

1 Introduction

At CLEX ("we", "our", or "us"), we are committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle the data provided by developers ("you") using our API proxy services.

2 Zero-Retention Data Policy

Our core philosophy is zero data retention for inference payloads. When you make a request to the CLEX API:

  • We do not log, save, or store your messages array, prompt strings, or generated completions.
  • Your request payload is held in volatile memory only for the duration required to proxy the request to the upstream AI provider and stream the response back to your client.
  • We do not use your data or prompts to train any AI models.

3 Information We Collect

While we do not store inference data, we do collect specific metadata to provide, secure, and improve our service:

Account Info

Contact details you explicitly submit (for example, support form email and message).

Usage Metrics

Operational metadata such as request timestamps, route, and response status code.

Technical Logs

Basic infrastructure logs (such as IP and user agent) used for abuse prevention and reliability.

4 Third-Party Providers

As an API proxy, your prompts are ultimately processed by the underlying AI model provider you select (e.g., NVIDIA, Meta, OpenAI, Anthropic). We strongly encourage you to review the privacy policies of the specific model providers you query, as their data handling practices govern the end processing of your prompts.

5 Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption for data in transit. If you enter an API key in the playground, this demo sends it only with that request; it is not persisted in server-side storage by this project.
